Chyeah, I can't seem to get rid of Maple at all. I'll stop for a few days, uninstall, and go for about a whole 2-4 weeks before I decide to re-download/re-install/re-play it. So, I'm just gonna quit uninstalling it. If I decide to stop playing for a few weeks at least I won't have to wait for the client to download.
So yeah, I began playing Maple on Windia where I've played every single class that can be played. LUK Bandits (thief class) are probably my favorite, with mages tailing very closely behind. Out of all the 2nd jobs in the game, I've only played Spearman, Assassin and Cleric. I quickly lost all interest in my spearman, the 'sin I deleted because I wanted to make a bandit, and the clerics got boring after a while. Seeing as how the most effective method of attack I had with them was magic claw. About a year and a half ago, I had a level 40 cleric, which is the highest level I have ever managed to achieve in Maple. Well, I deleted him a long time ago and made countless other characters. I've made too many to deal with. Not that that poses a huge problem. I could easily delete them all, but I decided to move to another server and start afresh. When I began playing, a friend of mine gave me about 75K mesos to get me going (to which I was very grateful) but in some way, it sort of ruined a good challenge of getting myself established in the game. As time went on, a few things started going down and resulted in this strange distance between me and the people on my buddy list and guild. It could possibly be the fact that I was getting so gung-ho about making all these characters and not focusing on just one that my peers literally leveled leaps and bounds above me. Then a bit of drama ensued (of which I was 99% of the time in no way involved in) and I had had enough.
So now, I play on the Kradia server as a pre-fighter warrior. I decided to make a warrior because they are fairly low-maintainance players with loads of HP. The only drawback is the low amount of MP and terrible accuracy. But, the purpose of this warrior is to help me get established. I plan somewhere down the road to create a fire/poison mage, but seeing as how mages are horrible at melee, having to keep a stock of MP potions on hand can be rather tricky when you have little to nothing in your meso bank. Of course, I also have to get my warrior the proper equipment in order to take on certain enemies. Level 10 armor isn't very effective against level 23+ monsters. I try to make my visits to the armor/weapon/potion shops as few as I possibly can. It can be quite costly. I try to pick up everything of some value and sell it off to NPCs in shops. I'm not doing too bad. It's pretty fun to work your way from the ground up. I'll be sure to put up some screenshots of my warrior in later entries when I've got her up to about level 25 or so.
And that's pretty much all I have for tonight. Brain's fried and I'm ready to go get some sleep. Nighty night. ;3

'Nother update
Been a while since I updated this thing. Might as well go on and do it.
I created a new character in Maple Story about four or so days ago, and he is a level 17 pre-assassin thief as of right now. My main character was going to be my warrior, but I've decided to conform to the way of the "sin." So my thief will be my main character. I bought a stack of Tobis and Icicles yesterday. Cost a pretty penny (well, meso actually, but you get my drift) but it was worth it. I can do pretty decent damage for a teen-leveled character. =3
I had a project that was due for psychology tonight in class (which I just finished) and I left work early to get it done, but during my lunch break, I went to the bank and opened up a savings account. I told them that I wanted a specific portion of money drawn from my monthly pay and put into it. I want to save up for a new computer, and the way I'm doing it now....well.....I'd never get one if I kept this up. ^_^;; So maybe soon I'll finally have that new box I've been wanting for the past 4 years.
And that's all I got for now.

Nostalgic day
Today me and dad went back to our hometown to get our stuff out of the storage that we left behind before we had our first move. The man who owned the storage building died about two weeks ago, and his son inherited it. To avoid a higher price to pay for storage every month, we got our junk out of there and that's that. It was quite hard work. I'd almost forgotten what it was like to work my ass off and sweat like crazy loading up a truck. Today brought back lots of memories. We also went out to our old farm that we used to live on and picked up a whole buttload of lumber that dad bought and never used. Before we moved, we placed it on the side of land that my grandfather owns so we wouldn't be trespassing, but looking around at everything that we once worked in, and the very land itself, made me very nostalgic. Don't get me wrong, I really like it where I'm at now. It's just kind of weird leaving behind a place that you started your life out in. Even more so when it's been nearly half a year since you saw it last. The funny thing is, nothing's changed since we took all we wanted to keep. I don't usually dwell my thoughts on that land anymore, nor my hometown for that matter. Troy is where I live now, and I really love it here.

Got some new anime yesterday.
I got the opportunity to go out yesterday and buy some new anime. Me and my family rode to Greensboro to have a look around, and we stopped at Best Buy. I was originally going to buy a Beavis & Butthead DVD box set, but surprisingly, they didn't have it.....or either I'm just blind as a bat and didn't look hard enough. But, I walked down every DVD isle until I got to the anime section, and I saw the box set of Azu-Manga Daioh. I remembered from watching AMV Hell 3 how they used it in just about every other scene, and it seemed pretty funny. So, I wound up buying this and the first BoBoBo-Bo-Bo-BoBo DVD as well. It's......pretty interesting stuff. I've found some pretty ripe lip-synch scenes from Azu-Manga to use in an AMV if I can find the right sound effects for it. I'm going to tighten up on synchronization this time as much as I can. I need to watch some stuff and get an idea of what to use.
Well, I guess that's enough rambling for today. =3

My AMV is up and running.
After many long hours of uploading my new AMV twice, it's finally available for viewing right here at YouTube.com and download and AMVs.org. It's entitled "Lurking in the Dark." I made it using Sony Vegas 7 and several other little apps. It was kind of a hassle to make this one because I had to uninstall Vegas on my tower and put it on the laptop, something I should have done to begin with. It played back the preview flawlessly, and rendered a 135MB MPG video in under 25 minutes. Not too shabby, I must say. ^^;;
But anyway, about the AMV. I felt like making something dark this time around. Well, vampires are quite dark, wouldn't you think? What better anime to use than Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust? It's probably one of my all-time favorite anime movies. And then there is King Diamond. I thought that his song, Lurking in the Dark, would be the best thing to use with VHD. The synchronization is off at a few points, but overall I think it turned out to be decent. I really want to learn how to use the program better, maybe add in some special effects, do some green-screening, etc. As a future project, I want to make another lip-synch video. I need to plan it out and look for some good scenes to use.
And I need to quit neglecting SilkRoad. I need to get my character up to level 20! I'm putting it on the laptop in hopes that it will play better on here.
And that's pretty much all I have for the night.

New DA account.
Finally decided to go get myself a new DeviantART account just a few minutes ago. I don't know when I'll be able to put anything up for viewing, but I'll try to get around to it as soon as possible. There's a link to it in my list to the right. I'm probably gonna use it mainly for now to give comments and try to get in touch with everyone I had on my old one. Dad has a scanner that I think he never uses. Maybe I can talk him into letting me have it.
Right then, I'm off to go try to draw something. >=O

Charcoal is better than pencil!
This semester at Sandhills, I've been taking an art appreciation class as well as a drawing class. Art appreciation has really opened my eyes to a lot of different things that I had no idea about. Plus, I've always been fascinated by studying about the history of things, and there's plenty of that to come. We're currently studying ancient Greek and Roman art. Man, you think it would be boring at first, but it just pulls you in. Or it pulls me in anyway. It's good stuff, what can I say? ^_^;
And the drawing class is really helping me a lot. I've never been what one would describe as "the artistic" type of person. And I, by all means, do not consider myself an artist either, although I won't deny the possibility that I could become better at art if I can just stick to it and practice regularly. I've been working with charcoal a lot in this class, and when I first began, I had never used charcoal before, ever. It took a lot of getting used to (two or so weeks as a matter of fact), and I never thought that I would say this, but charcoal is better for drawing than traditional graphite pencils. It's much more versatile on paper, much more manuverable than graphite. You can use sandpaper to sharpen the charcoal sticks and use the shavings and smudge them with a paper towel to tone paper! How freakin' cool is that?! I think it's pretty damn awesome! You can also just apply it directly from the stick to the paper and smudge with the paper towel as well. We've done some stuff with pencil as well, but we're mainly going to use charcoal. We've actually been working on hatching with pencils for the past week. It's a lot harder than it looks.
I still can't draw worth a crap, but lately I've been wanting to practice more than I have been. Particularly with the charcoal. It's messy, but damn if it ain't fun to experiment with. I love the stuff. I need to go and buy some more charcoal sticks this week. I've almost used up what I bought in class. That's one of the few things I dislike about charcoal. It doesn't last long. That's probably a good enough reason to stick to graphite when writing. I'm going to practice some tomorrow. In the future, if I feel like I did a good enough job on my stuff, I may make a new Deviant Art account. But that's a ways off. All I can pull off now are retarded little doodles. Hopefully soon I'll be able to make something somewhat decent to show to the world.
Right then, it's 2:07 AM, and I'm about to fall out of this chair. G'night, sleep tight, and don't let the evil little demon bed babies bite! =D
